I have sung for all sorts of events ranging from Classical concerts to surprise engagements! I can sing a solitary number for your event or a full recital depending on what you require. I teach classical singing and musical theatre singing with the majority of my students taking grades through the ABRSM and Trinity exam boards. As an experienced and passionate tutor, I believe in an approach that gives students positive, constructive ways to learn. I design my lessons according to my students’ needs, using confidence building language and working at speeds appropriate to them. I have coached young singers for music scholarships and choral scholarships and helped adult learners understand the voice and thoughts on interpretation of song. Sight reading and aural skills are a important part of my teaching and I encourage all my younger students to take grade 1 theory early on in their singing tuition.
MUSIC THEORY
I have been teaching music theory since 2004 with great results. I work on a one to one basis from grades 1 to 5. I am happy to coach both adults and children. As someone who found theory difficult as a teenager, I have learnt some interesting methods and tips to help understand the slightly more tricky areas of theory that have allowed my students to achieve exceptional results.
